Happy New Year!

Home / Blog / Happy New Year!

2020 has been a very difficult year for all workers, their family and friends.  Library workers have continued to work and deliver services that Torontonians rely on – with all the associated health and safety concerns faced by many public service workers.  Thank you for your support during these difficult times.  Wishing you all health, happiness and hope that 2021 brings positive change and a just recovery.

Happy International Women’s Day #IWD2021 !

The Toronto Public Library Workers are mostly women and have worked to establish the busiest urban public library system in the world.

No small feat, if you ask me! And not without challenges. Yet, we persist. @local4948 👓

We hope to see you all at 1pm today at our online Rally! International Women’s Day 2021 Toronto Virtual Rally

What people need now is more engagement with library workers. Seniors living in isolation, children and parents, people new to Canada, youth experiencing mental health challenges... the list goes on.

It’s been very challenging for us during this pandemic, in our work and personal lives, but we are working hard for the people of Toronto.
